ONE → Laura Mercier flawless fusion foundation
I’ve been an avid fan of Tarte Cosmetics for awhile but lately I’ve just been feeling like my foundation was looking a little grim. I just picked up this foundation from Laura Mercier and I’m loving it so far. I have oily skin so this has a nice matte finish and one of my main requests during my search was that it didn’t transfer and was long lasting. This hits all points for me and I’m loving how it looks. It also feels super lightweight which is amazing for how long lasting it is. I’m wearing color Macadamia.

TWO → Planoly
I’ve been obsessed with this app to plan out content on instagram. It’s so easy to use and I love that it lets you schedule posts, rearrange photos so you can get your grid just right and that you can see analytics. It also let’s you plan your instagram stories! It’s been super helpful and I use it a ton for work since I do social media for businesses. I’m seriously in love.

THREE → How I Built This podcast
If you’re intrigued about how businesses got their start like I am this podcast is great! Guy Raz interviews tons of businesses like Toms, Aden + Anais and Rent the Runway. Super fascinating! I always love hearing about peoples journeys and how they got to where they are.

FOUR → I LOVE MY BABY BUT, BREASTFEEDING
I loved this honest video by Whitney Port on her struggles of breastfeeding and the pressure we put on ourselves as mothers to breastfeed. I went through some of the same struggles and it’s HARD ladies. You literally feel like your nipples are being cut open with knives for those first few weeks.

FIVE → 20 Hacks for Traveling with Baby
Emma has already been on an airplane more times than I can count which is amazing but we’re prepping to fly to Hawaii in the next few weeks which has me SO nervous because it’s such a long flight. These tips will definitely come in handy!

Emma is 5 months old tomorrow and I’m wondering where the heck the time has gone. I say this every week but it’s insane just how fast time is going with her. She’s been babbling so much, getting super SUPER excited when she sees Riot walk by(it’s hilarious), grabbing at her feet nonstop and drooling so much you’d think she had a waterfall coming out of her mouth. It’s such a crazy and amazing time in life right now and I’m trying to capture every moment so I don’t forget them. I’m obsessed with her.

This True & Co true body scoop neck bra – Feels kind of weird for me to talk about bras on here but this bra is pretty amazing. I love how light weight and fitted to your body it is plus it’s so buttery smooth! It’s not a nursing bra by any means but it’s pretty easy to nurse in which is a huge bonus. I feel like I’ve had the hardest time finding cute nursing friendly bras/dresses but this bra is a favorite of mine for sure. You can also use my link here to get $15 off your first purchase which is a pretty good deal!

Just Add Water tumbler – I talked about this in another post but this cup is finally available for pre order! Snag it quick because they sell out pretty fast. I love mine and I really feel like it helps me stay hydrated during the day. Plus it’s pretty cute!

Coffee + Crumbs podcast – I’ve been obsessed with this podcast lately. Specifically this episode where they talk birth stories. I love being able to relate to other mamas and hear their stories. This episode is another good one!

Trader Joe’s everything but the bagel seasoning – Obsessed. I’ve been on a kick of eating avocado toast with slices of boiled egg, tapatio and this seasoning on top every morning. The ingredients are pretty simple and I’m a huge fan of garlic and onion so this adds just the right taste to my morning breakfast.

Molly’s guest bathroom reveal – Molly has such great taste I love all of the updates her and her husband have been making to their home. Their backyard has been a huge inspiration for Aaron and I as we update ours. I love what they did with their guest bathroom and that she shared how she saved on costs for it.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – I’ve seen a lot of posts about the Nordstrom Anniversary sale so in lieu of doing my own post I thought I’d quickly share some of my favorites that I’m seeing on their site! I’m going to run down there this weekend in hopes that they still have a lot of good finds. Will report back but in the meantime here are some favorites that caught my eye:

FOR HER:
These zella leggings are an all time fave of mine, this color is cute too / These Good American jeans / Denim shirt dress / This Free People top / Madewell leather tote! / This face mask is amazing

HOME:
This rug / This two tone basket / This grey accent pillow / This herringbone rug is super cute / This throw blanket / This marble and wood serving board

BABY:
This carseat cover and swaddling blankets and in this white + grey duo too / Baby food maker / Nursing scarf / Skip Hop activity gym / This looks so comfortable can they please make this for adults??? / These bows

Rug (similar), credenza, basket (similar)

After almost a year of living in our house we’ve been slowly making updates and we finally got around to putting up this floating credenza in the living room over the weekend. I’m so in love with how it turned out! It’s not completely finished, we’re planning on putting a slab of wood on the top and sides of it to match our dining room table and bed frame but that will come at another time since this took up most of our weekend. On top of it we’ve been dealing with a grumpy baby and 4 month sleep regression so we’re pretty dang exhausted and this is pretty much the nicest area of the house at the moment. Although it’s taken almost a year to fill out the house with furniture its been worth the wait and I’m glad we took our time finding pieces that we love. Anywho, I wanted to pop in and share some things I’ve been loving lately!

Good American jeans. / I was a little skeptical about buying these jeans because of the price but they’re worth every penny. These jeans fit like a glove! I’ve been feeling like I’m going through a mid life crisis of sorts but with clothing my new mom-bod(mama’s please tell me I’m not alone!?) but these hug in all the right places. I’ve worn them for probably 25 out of the last 30 days haha.

Youth To The People age prevention cleanser / This baby is aging me. I’ve never felt like I needed to buy age-preventing washes or moisturizers until this year and I’m super happy with this face wash. A friend of mine told me she’s been using it for awhile and has seen a noticeable difference in the fine lines on her forehead which is super exciting. I’ve been using it for a week now and I feel like my face overall just feels a little brighter. I love the light scent and how my face doesn’t feel super dry after using it. Will report back after a few months of using it.

Jennas Kitchen tumbler / This water tumbler is everything. They’re sold out of it until July, sadly, but I’ve been loving this thing. I don’t know what it is about it but I’ve been drinking so much water and love that it keeps my water cold all day. Aaron has even been asking me to get him one too haha July can’t come soon enough!

Kristin Ess dry shampoo / Last week I got some longish bangs and needed a new dry shampoo to try out. I normally use this one from Living Proof but it’s kinda pricey and I feel like I always run out of it fast. I’ve seen Kristin Ess products all over my instagram(the packaging for her shampoo/conditioner is SO pretty) so I was excited to try this stuff. It did a really good job of absorbing the oils in my hair and I LOVE the smell of it. One of my complaints about the Living Proof one I used was the smell so this was a nice surprise.

Native deodorant / I’ve been on the hunt for a natural deodorant that WORKS and this one is it. I got it in their Coconut & Vanilla scent and it smells incredible. I seriously wish they made this into a lotion because it smells that good. Love that it’s aluminum free as well.

I loved reading Dani’s Current Favorites post which inspired me to write a post of my own! One thing about being on maternity leave is that between watching endless Real Housewives episodes and cleaning spit up off your shirt there’s a lot of time spent trying to occupy yourself while you’ve got a baby attached to your boob for what feels like 24/7. So I’ve definitely been able to discover some new favorites that I’d love to share with each of you.

ONE → The Magic of Motherhood
Gah! Everyone who is a mother or becoming a mother NEEDS this book. I’ve been reading it for the past week and I feel like it came at the perfect time as I’m still getting the hang of this new mom thing. It’s an easy read and each chapter is a new essay and it’s SO good. It might be the hormones but every chapter has caused me to shed a tear or two. PS I had the pleasure of doing the branding for Coffee + Crumbs last year which makes it that much more special. I love seeing my clients thriving and doing amazing things.

TWO → It’s the Buff blemish elixir
Since having the baby my skin has been all out of wack. This jojoba face oil has been my jam every night. I don’t often have a lot of time to even wash my face at night but just a drop of this has been keeping my acne at bay. Plus it has cute packaging to boot!

THREE → Merlin Magic Sleepsuit
Okay, I’m fully aware my baby looks absolutely ridiculous in this but this thing is seriously magic. Emma has started to wiggle her arms out of her swaddle and waking herself up due to the Moro reflex so I had to resort to something new for her. It’s suggested for babies starting at 3 months old and since Emma is only 2 months(this week, ah!) we’ve had to elevate her little legs by putting some rolled up blankets underneath her. We absolutely love this thing and it’s gotten more than a few laughs. When we put her in it you better believe we call her the Michelin man. ;)

FOUR → Girlfriend Collective leggings
Last year Girlfriend Collective had a massive campaign where they handed out free eco-friendly leggings for just the cost of shipping. I received mine last June when I was early on in my pregnancy so I was only able to wear them for a few weeks but since I’m not pregnant anymore I have been LIVING in these. They’re so comfortable and I love that they’re high waisted! The campaign is closed now but they’re coming out with new products this spring so be sure to sign up for their newsletter to get updates.

FIVE → Taylor Farms salads from Target
I promise you none of this stuff I’m talking about is sponsored but seriously, you need to try these chopped salads! I’ve been obsessed with the Asian chopped salad but a close second is the Southwestern salad they have. They are SO delicious and so easy to toss together. I’ve been eating them for lunch and a lot of times for dinner with some bake chicken breast. Aaron is a big fan as well!
